For over twenty-five years a respected and dedicated nonprofit leader, Ellen Cokinos was Founder and Executive Director of the world’s largest center dedicated to the treatment of sexually abused children and their families, the Children’s Assessment Center. After serving the organization for over a decade, she became Chief Advancement Officer for Trinity Children and Family Services. While at Trinity, she directed the design and coordination of a long-term strategic development plan to maximize internal resources and expand external relations for the organization. In 2005, at the conclusion of her commitment to Trinity, she decided to offer her specialties – leadership mentoring, strategic growth, and fundraising counsel – as an independent advisor to a select group of widely-diversified clients.

The former head of a multi-million dollar agency, Ellen Cokinos brings a unique expertise to nonprofit consulting. She understands the challenges from a leadership perspective. As a founder of a nonprofit organization, she is adept at planning for and managing organizational expansion. A highly skilled entrepreneur, she offers her experience in creative fund development from both private and public sectors.

Ellen is also a popular author, presenter and advisor.  Among her recent honors and activities –

A licensed social worker, Ellen holds a B.A. degree with concentrations in criminal justice and psychology from Michigan State University, and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Houston. Married since 1988, she and her husband, Paige, are the parents of Demetrios and Alexandra, graduates of The Kinkaid School, currently attending Northwestern University and Texas Christian University respectively. They are active members of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
